The short version. Play the game, have fun, don't cheat or break it, don't resell it. We give you a personal licence to play, not ownership of the game. Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, and refunds go through them. We do our best but can't promise the game is perfect or always available. If something goes badly wrong, our liability is limited to what you paid us.

1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Teiku Games (“Teiku Games”, “we”, “us”) covering our mobile game SoliWords, this website at teikugames.com, and any other app or service that links to these Terms (together, the “Services”).
By downloading, installing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
2. Who may use the Services
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services (16 in jurisdictions where that is the minimum age for consenting to online services). If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
You may not use the Services if you are barred from doing so under applicable law, or if we have previously terminated your access.
3. Your licence to play
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use one copy of SoliWords on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment.
You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or distribute the Services or any part of them;
- modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Services, except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction;
- remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice;
- use the Services to build a competing product, or to train a machine-learning model on our puzzle content;
- extract, scrape, or bulk-download our level data, word lists, or other game content.
This is a licence, not a sale. We keep all rights we don't expressly give you here.
4. Accounts
SoliWords has no sign-up. The first time you open the game we create an anonymous account for you automatically so your progress has somewhere to live. You never have to do anything with it.
You may optionally connect a Google or Apple account if you want your progress to follow you to another device. If you do, you are responsible for keeping access to that account secure, and for activity that happens under it. Tell us promptly at support@teikugames.com if you believe it has been compromised.
You may delete your account and everything attached to it at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account, or through our deletion page. This applies to anonymous players too. Deletion permanently removes your saved progress and does not entitle you to a refund.
5. Acceptable use
Don't do any of the following:
- cheat, use bots, macros, modified clients, memory editors, or exploits to gain an advantage or to alter game state;
- interfere with the Services, our servers, or other players — including denial-of-service attempts, injecting malicious code, or overwhelming our infrastructure with automated requests;
- attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you have no right to access;
- buy, sell, or trade accounts, progress, or in-app items outside the Services;
- use the Services for anything unlawful, or in breach of sanctions or export-control rules.
If you send us content — a bug report, a suggested puzzle, a message — you confirm it is yours to send and that it isn't unlawful, infringing, or abusive.
6. Purchases, virtual items and refunds
SoliWords is free to download and may offer optional in-app purchases.
- Who takes your money. All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms. We do not handle your payment details.
- What you're buying. In-app purchases give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use virtual items or features inside SoliWords. Virtual items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money or anything of value outside the game, and are not your property.
- Prices. Prices are shown in the store before you confirm, and may change. Changes never apply retroactively to a purchase you've already made.
- Refunds. Refunds are governed by the policies of the store you purchased from — Apple or Google. We generally cannot issue refunds ourselves, but if a purchase failed to deliver, email us and we'll help sort it out.
- Statutory rights. If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content. By starting to use a digital item immediately after purchase you may be asked to waive that right, as the law permits. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country.
- If we retire an item or the game. We may change, limit, or remove virtual items and features. If we permanently shut down SoliWords, we will give reasonable advance notice in the app, and we may — but are not obliged to — offer compensation for recently purchased items.
7. Advertising
SoliWords is supported by advertising served by third parties. The only ad format in the game is rewarded video: you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward. There are no banners and no interstitials, and no ad plays unless you ask for it.
Rewards are granted only when the ad network confirms you watched far enough. If a video fails to load, fails to play, or the network doesn't report a completed view, no reward is given — we have no way to override that, though we can usually make it right if you write to us.
We don't control the content of individual ads. If you see one that is offensive, misleading, or broken, send us a screenshot at support@teikugames.com and we'll report it to the network.
How advertising identifiers are used, and how to opt out of personalised ads, is covered in our Privacy Policy.
8. Our intellectual property
The Services — including the name Teiku Games, the name SoliWords, our logos, artwork, level designs, word sets, code, sounds, and text — are owned by Teiku Games or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
You may use screenshots and short video of gameplay in reviews, streams, and social posts, including monetised ones, provided you don't imply that we endorse or sponsor you and you don't use our logos as your own branding. That permission can be withdrawn if it's abused.
9. Your feedback
We love getting ideas. If you send us feedback, a bug report, or a suggestion, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it in our products without any obligation to you. We won't treat it as confidential, so please don't send us anything you need kept secret.
10. Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We may add, remove, or rebalance levels and features. We'll try to give notice of significant changes, but some — security fixes, urgent bug fixes — happen without warning.
The Services depend on your device, your network, and third-party platforms, and may be unavailable from time to time. We don't guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may amend these Terms. If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the new Terms; if you don't, stop using the Services and delete the app.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms — for instance by cheating or attacking our infrastructure — or if we are required to by law. Where it's reasonable to do so, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law — do survive.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that your progress will never be lost. Back-ups are best-effort, not a guarantee.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teiku Games will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or game progress, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services — even if we have been advised that such damages are possible.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, these limits apply only to the extent permitted by the consumer law of your country.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Teiku Games from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party right. This does not apply to consumers to the extent the law of your country prohibits it.
15. App store terms
You also agree to the terms of the platform you downloaded from. In particular, for the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Teiku Games only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for SoliWords or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for SoliWords.
- If SoliWords fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Teiku Games, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to SoliWords, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, and consumer protection claims.
- Teiku Games, not Apple, is responsible for investigating and resolving any third-party claim that SoliWords infringes intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country. EU consumers can use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform, though we'd much rather you just emailed us first — most things get sorted in one reply.
17. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Services.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is applied as closely as the law allows.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
- Language. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience; the English version governs.
